Peas In A Pod In-Home Daycare
Our mission is to provide a quality childcare experience that helps your child develop physically, socially, and emotionally.
About Us
Hello. We are The Polley's (Larry and Lisa), a husband and wife team. We are certified in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid and have also completed the state nutrition guidelines training and we are state licensed. We have one child of our own who is 9 years old and is God's most precious gift. We wanted more children and tried very hard for many years before we decided to open a daycare and love other little gifts from God instead. We promise to nurture your child as if he or she was our own.
Our Philosophy
We believe that all children deserve love, attention, and nurturing. We believe that a safe and clean environment allows children to explore and grow. At Peas in a Pod, we allow children to have hands-on learning experiences. This fosters age appropriate development. We read to the children everyday. We believe that positive reinforcement is important for children to develop self-esteem. Children need an environment that supports free expression and stimulates learning. Most importantly, however, I believe that children need to have fun! At Peas in a Pod, we often have bounce house day on Fridays, picnic lunches on nice days, and play lots of exciting games. Children learn best from experiencing the world around them. Peas in a Pod limits TV to just one movie, or one hour per day.
At Peas in a Pod we recognize that you have a difficult schedule and we support parents the best we can. We offer drop-in care and early drop-off so that your schedule can be accommodated. We recognize the importance of work, and the stress and demands placed on parents. We strive to make it easier on parents by giving them the knowledge that their children are in good hands.
Our Promise:
We will care for your child in a safe, loving and respectful manner. We will provide your child with age appropriate activities and encourage them to explore and embrace the world around them. We will also help to teach positive social skills through play, friendships and proper role modeling and manners.
We will communicate your child's daily activities verbally at the end of each day and by sending home projects and crafts that were done from time to time.
Your Promise:
You will also be in communication with us. We will need to know how well your child slept the night before, when they last ate and any special concerns we should be aware of that day.
You will send your child to our home ready to play with weather appropriate clothing. We love going outside!
You will respect your child and my home when your child is ill (We provide a list of exclusions for parents to reference). Remember they need you to hug them when they are ill. Nothing replaces mom or dad. Other parents will appreciate your good judgment by keeping your ill child at home. Everyone will stay healthier that way!
Finally, our promise to each other is RESPECT. Daycare is most successful when both parties respect and appreciate the other.
We look forward to talking with you soon! Our rates and further details are discussed in one-on-one interviews. Please email us to schedule a tour and interview. We will be able to answer questions on policies and rates at that time. Thanks for taking the time to stop by Peas In A Pod In-Home Childcare!
